With the Gigabeat S30, Toshiba is trying to take the iPod head on. They hype the new Gigabeat’s style and integration with the new Windows Media Player.
This is not the Japanese powerhouse’s first foray into the high-capacity DAP-world. Most recently, they released the F series which was doomed by a GUI deemed by many as counter-intuitive and a lack of video playback. It flopped among both the hardcore digital audio enthusiasts and the general public alike. They are sitting in warehouses collecting dust, so, if you must, you may pick one up for a bargain considering that you can get 40gb for under $200.
