Today in Las Vegas, as part of its CES announcements, Sony Ericsson launched the new Z555 folder phone. The Z555 features a diamond design on its front cover that is also home to a 1.3 megapixel camera and a hidden display. The 1.3 megapixel is used by the device to allow users to mute inbound calls or snooze alarms by simply waving their hand over the phone - you don’t have to touch it.
Other features of the Z555 include Bluetooth stereo support, an FM radio, tri-band GSM/EDGE (in two versions), and a 262k color TFT display. Like most recent Sony Ericsson handsets, the Z555 also supports 3D Java gaming, has a RSS newsfeed reader, and supports Sony Ericsson’s Picture Blogging features for posting photos online easily.
