December 6th, 2006 · No Comments

Today Samsung announced the Ultra Special series at the ITU Telecom 2006 show in Hong Kong. Samsung F500.jpgThe SGH-F500, also known as Ultra Video, is going to be the first phone on the market to directly support the DivX video codec. It has a 2.4" QVGA TFT display and a 2MP camera on board. Just like the other new Ultra Special handset, the F300, the F500 also has dual faces - one side is a phone with a keypad and moderately sized screen, whilst the other houses a large screen and easy to access multimedia controls.

The swivel screen allows users to adjust for viewing angle or it can form a stand when the device is placed on a surface. Internal memory is 400MB and you may add an extra 2GB by inserting a microSD card. Samsung SGH-F500 Ultra (MobileBurn)
