The Pentax Optio S7 digital camera is the latest camera to come from the famous Pentax S Series. Pentax_Optio_S7.jpgLike its predecessors this one too has been ergonomically designed and Pentax has aimed for both style and functionality. While retaining all the features one usually associates with the S Series, the S7 has something new to offer also. Users will dig features like ISO 1600, Face Recognition AF & AE, a 2.5" LCD monitor, DivX Movie Mode and support for the new SDHC card format.

The Pentax S7 sports a 7 megapixel CD sensor which promises sharp and vibrant images even at higher ISOs. To combat blurry images which usually take’s place at high ISOs, Pentax has incorporated a Blur Reduction High ISO mode. Not only does it compensate for camera shake but also combats blurry images taken in low light conditions like night time or indoors. This is possible as the camera has been designed to automatically adjust shutter speeds (up to 1600) in accordance to the brightness of the subject. Another cool feature is the Face Recognition AF &\1 AE which comes handy in portrait shots as it automatically detects the position of the subject’s face and then adjusts the focus and exposure.
