Sony’s latest bridge camera offers high speed shooting with a fast shutter speed and continuous burst of up to 100 shots. The 9 million pixel model continues Sony’s association with Carl Zeiss, featuring a 31-465mm f/2.7-4.5 Vario-Tessar lens (35mm equivalent). Of course being Sony, it is also packed with the latest advanced technology.

The Sony CyberShot DSC-S780 is an 8.1 Megapixels point-and-shoot digital camera features 3x optical zoom (35mm equivalent: 35-105mm), Super SteadyShot® Optical Image Stabilization, Face Detection, ISO 100-1250, and a 2.5″ LCD Screen. The camera measures 90.8mm x 56.0mm x 26.5mm and weighs Approx 5.3 oz.

Sony’s Alpha A200 is a relatively minor revamp to the electronics giant’s first digital SLR, the A100, which itself was a more significant step up from the Konica Minolta 5D. The Sony A200 is lighter and smaller than the A100, and a good deal easier to use.

The Sony alpha DSLR-A200 looks like a younger brother to the 40D. It too has a black body with textured finish. Measuring 5.4 x 3.87 x 2.2, it tips the scales at 18.8 ounces without battery and lens, closer to 30 with them. The 40D weighs 37 ounces combined.
